Local Church Outreach Team video Training
Outreach Committee Training by TE Dr. Bryan Slater
In this 43-minute video, TE Bryan Slater guides the local church outreach committee/team in developing three important components for effective service:
1) the mission/purpose statement;
2) the members and sub-teams; and,
3) the essential activities.
In Part 1, he describes the development of a multi-part mission/purpose statement that outlines the activities of the team.
In Part 2, he discusses the members of the team, including the team leader, a church elder, the relationship of the pastor to the team, and the responsibilities of several sub-teams led by other members of the team.
In Part 3, he describes in detail the roles of each of the sub-teams – prayer, hospitality, short-term missions, local outreach and education. And finally, he outlines the steps for your church to begin reaching an unreached people group.
